This qualification reflects the use of workers who provide self-directed recovery oriented aid for people afflicted with mental illness and psychiatric impairment. Work involves executing community based activities and programs emphasizing emotional health, mental illness and psychiatric disability. Work has been undertaken in a selection of community contexts like community based non-government organisations; dwelling based outreach; centre-based apps; respite care; residential services, rehab programs; clinical settings; or encouraging people in employment. Work is carried out autonomously under the comprehensive guidance of other practitioners and professionals. To attain this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 80 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.No law, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to the eligibility during book.
