Description

Why is New Media Language worth studying?

This programme is taught in English and is intended for those who want to learn how “to play with language“, to reveal the secrets of electronic communication, to be able to analyse the grammar of graphic design and to be excellent at several foreign languages (French, German, Russian, Italian, Spanish or Swedish).

Why to study at KTU?

KTU is the only university in Lithuania to offer the first cycle study programme of linguistics dedicated to media studies in English. A great number of visiting teachers from different countries contribute to the variety of topics and bring in worldwide academic perspectives in the subject area.

Additional possibilities

There is a possibility to obtain a double degree in bachelor studies. One of the following minor study programmes is offered in the second semester: media philosophy, European studies, pedagogy, psychology, translation, public administration, public policy, business administration, accounting, economics, finances, leadership, marketing, informatics, applied mathematics, management, human resource management

Course Content

Studies and internship abroad

Under the student exchange programme ERASMUS+, it is possible to study in other countries since the faculty closely cooperates with universities in Austria, Czech Republic, Iceland, Spain, Poland, Italy, Poland, France, Sweden and the United Kingdom. ERASMUS+ internship grant gives a possibility to undergo training in a foreign company.

Career possibilities

Graduates can pursue a career in the fields of communication, public relations, e-publishing, e-business, marketing, e-marketing, advertising, media design, translation, work as editors of news websites, press agents, analysts. Upon completion of the new media language, it is possible to establish and develop consulting services and business companies, work for international companies, marketing companies, in television, radio or press centres

General admission requirements are as follow:

• For undergraduate study programmes: 12 years or equivalent education.
