This course reflects best practice, current problems and emerging trends in social and non-profit enterprise, and has been designed for those that are enthusiastic about social creation and social justice, and letting them develop advanced solutions that have social impact. The training program is particularly pertinent to policy-makers, senior managers, and chief executives in social market, public, community or third business organisations. In addition, it pertains to those trying to employ business and management fundamentals to help a wider range of organisations - authorities, organizations and social ventures - consequently creating economic and social value simultaneously. This course provides advanced level insights into social entrepreneurship and social innovation as drivers of not-for-profit, community-oriented enterprises. Career options involve managing non-government or not-for-profit organisations, working in the sphere of corporate social responsibility, or in government, especially in roles that assist non-profit or community organisations such as: social and community wellbeing; environment advocacy; culture and arts; fundraising; education; international development and aid; professional institutions and unions.

  • Completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications which demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies. If the former qualification isn't in a linked area, applicants take a minimum of two years' relevant work experience. Applicants using a related graduate certification must have completed it using at least a credit average. The English proficiency requirement of global students or regional applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0
  • Or TOEFL: newspaper based: 550-583 complete with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 complete with a writing score of 21
  • Or AE5: Pass
  • Or PTE: 58-64
  • Or CAE: 176-184.
