The Graduate Entry Master of Occupational Therapy (GEM) class is a fast track option to becoming a Licensed therapist for people who already hold a bachelor degree, rather than a medical science or person support. Assisting individuals to participate in their diverse activities is exactly what occupational therapists predicted'job'. Occupation could be varied as cleaning your tattoo, socialising with friends, driving a vehicle, blow-drying your own hair holding a pen, participating at sport and work and living in lodging. There are numerous explanations for why people can't participate: such as disease, injury or disability, and these can occur at any age. Occupational therapists work with people, organisations, groups or communities to identify barriers that stop participation in job and after that find interventions, solutions and strategies. The barriers are often as diverse as physical, social, attitudinal or legislative, S O occupational therapists desire a broad education.

Candidates using the title registered health practitioner or also the title of occupational therapist (OT) has to be enrolled with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (the National Board). Registration for training enables students, formerly enrolled, to practise occupational therapy in most Australian states and territories. Graduates may also choose to be a member of the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists or OT Australia (WA). The course is recognized by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists. Graduates may also apply for registration in most countries although some may involve sitting a certification examination.
