These programmes are designed to provide a bridge for students who have qualified in science disciplines to the specific requirements of the pharmaceutical and related industries with respect to quality assurance.
Award
Graduates are eligible for the award of MSc (Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance) of the Dublin Institute of Technology.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the course are well equipped to take up positions as quality professionals and managers in the pharmaceutical and related industries.
The lecture course is divided into twelve modules of 20 hours each. Full-time students undertake twelve modules over two semesters. Part-time students undertake twelve modules over 4 semesters.
On successful completion of the twelve modules, students will undertake a 6 months industrially based dissertation. Part-time students are normally expected to perform the dissertation at their place of employment.

* Biotechnology (full-time only)
* Pharmaceutical Technology
* Pharmaceutical Facilities and Utilities
* Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Management
* Chemical Analysis
* Organic and Medicinal Chemistry
* Analytical Regulation & Introduction to Bioanalysis (part-time only)
* Biopharmaceutical Analysis (full-time only)
* Pharmaceutical Microbiology
* Physiology, Pharmacology and Toxicology
* Medicines from Natural Sources, Inorganic Medicines (part-time only)
* Validation of Biotechnology Pharmaceuticals (full-time only)
Written assignments, practical work, written examinations, dissertation.
