Podiatrists are best known for treating conditions that people experience with their toes and limbs, however they are increasingly playing an essential role in treating chronic conditions like diabetes and rheumatology. Podiatrists treat a variety of patients including adults, kids, workers, sportspeople and also the older people. There is a focus on podiatric software for example handling of common issues like ingrown toenails or bunions, chronic disease control, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, footwear assessment and orthoses manufacturing. Ongoing education on finishing the program may lead to opportunities for complex practice such as restricted therapeutic prescription rights and application for training as a podiatric surgeon.
