Medical colleges generally require the following undergraduate science courses for admission: 2 semesters of general biology with laboratory (8 credits), 1 additional semester of biology with laboratory (4 credits), 2 semesters of general chemistry with laboratory (10 credits), 2 semesters of organic chemistry with laboratory (10 credits), 2 semesters of physics with laboratory (10 credits), 1 or 2 semesters of mathematics (3-6 credits), usually through precalculus. Requirements

Admission requirements include SAT scores of 1400 or higher on the critical reading and math sections from a single test administration or an ACT composite score of a 32 and above (including the optional writing section ), a strong record of high school academic achievement, submission of a completed portfolio including recommendations, and a final admissions interview. An applicant must be a U.S citizen or permanent resident to be considered.
