This class prepares students to teach federal literacy and numeracy in an elementary school level, from Kindergarten to Year 6. Students will: Profit appropriate scientific, literacy and numeracy comprehension; master the notions and principles which are the cornerstone for educational training in chief configurations; illustrate a comprehension of student needs and differences, and also the relevance of them to learning in inclusive, native, EALD and conventional settings; aim and develop proper teaching activities for students from a wide range of backgrounds; develop and execute effective assessment strategies and carry out assessment of instruction programs, tools as well as also your teaching; employ the necessary content comprehension for most key school curriculum areas to instruction, assessment and reporting processes, alternate/enhanced literacy and numeracy strategies, and also the effective use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in learning and teaching; and also think in their training and experiences, and also engage in a process of continuing progress.
Entry for this program is based in an entrance rank. A rank can be achieved by a year 1-2 ATAR, additional Australian qualification, work experience, or an overseas qualification. All applicants will be required to complete a written statement in reaction to questions intended to assess their suitability for the teaching profession. Applicants' responses to such questions have to be deemed acceptable for these to be admitted to this course.
