This two-year course prepares students for a career in education by providing the required skills, qualifications and experience to work over all areas of the main school curriculum. This course also includes an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander component which ensures Native ways of learning and comprehension are believed and appropriately incorporated into the study app. Students will: Develop a high level of theoretical, practical, ethical and cultural teaching methods; Be able to implement teaching strategies designed to enhance individual and collective comprehension; Gain a detailed understanding of teaching fundamentals from Australian and worldwide perspectives; Complete 60 days of professional teaching experience; and Hold a degree that is accredited by the Teacher Quality Institute (TQI).
