This taught MSc programme in NanoBio Science brings the student to the forefront in the most recent science at the Nano and Bio interface. Both the areas of Nano and Bio are important in their own right and combined have become of utmost importance and will continue to be so for years to come.

The programme prepares the student to follow and contribute to future developments in this multi-disciplinary area with numerous important research and development possibilities. Job opportunities will be found both in the private and public research areas as well as in the industry.

The modules are covered in the 1st and 2nd semester whereas the 3rd semester is devoted entirely to the research project chosen.

Research work can be carried out on a number of themes including the following:
· Atomic-Force Microscopy (AFM)
· Cellular imaging, probing, and spectroscopy
· Metamaterials
· Molecular simulation
· Multiphoton microscopy
· Nano-toxicity
· Nanotube simulation and experiment
· Organic solar cells
· Scanning Near-Field Optical Microscopy (SNOM)
· Spectroscopy of nanoscale structures

A 2.1 or in special circumstances a 2.2 is required.
