Psychology — Applied Emphasis

The Psychology major at Concordia University College of Alberta has two areas of focus. The first is Human Behaviour and Mental Processes where you study learning development, thinking, personality, perception, motivation, intelligence, and memory, as well as the major theoretical orientations and the basic research in these areas. The second is Skill Acquisition where you learn to read in the area, interpret and practice what you have read, and where you acquire the basic statistical and methodological skills needed to understand research reports and to carry out basic research.he field, you have a solid basis to be considered for admission, particularly for applied programs in clinical, educational, counseling, and school psychology.
