Depending on their chosen specialization students will be able to:
- Explain the contributions of the biological, affective, social, and cognitive areas of psychology and their impact on the human adaptive and maladaptive functioning.
- Present and understand the history of psychology in the chosen specialization.
- Demonstrate proficiency in evaluating the effectiveness of treatments.
- Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing models of psychotherapy, counselling, consultation, or supervision.
- Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing cognitive and personality assessment skills.
- Develop relationships with clients, supervisors, instructors, and colleagues.
- Engage in personal self-assessment to examine their feelings, beliefs, attitudes, and opinions regarding their own and others world-view.

Applicants must have successfully completed a higher education/ university-level degree or a comparable university degree in Psychology in which sufficient research training has been completed to pursue doctoral training. Additional academic qualifications may also be considered.
Excellent grades are expected. Applicants who do not have graduated yet at the time of the application deadline, but who expect to graduate before the beginning of the program, can also apply for admission subject to timely graduation.
