This program provides preparation for instruction, research and service in all aspects of general wellbeing. The program includes analysis in epidemiology, quantitative and qualitative research methods, health care administration, health promotion, development and instruction in health, in addition to a systematic review of external public health issues. It's designed to address the continuing education needs of specialists in public health in addition to providing an overall orientation to public health issues and processes for the medical occupations.
- Applicants need to have either: A undergraduate degree in an area relevant to public health or health management (see list below)
- And 2 years fulltime professional or volunteer experience. This might also include equivalent professional experience acquired as part of a level of more years interval (e.g. MBBS, MD)
- or an undergraduate degree and an honours or post graduate level in a field relevant to public health or health management (see list below)
