The course is designed for international students and includes tailored modules and a field trip to a European city. It enables you to work in property valuation and management for multinational companies and surveying firms. It also leads to a UK professional qualification.

Real estate operates in a dynamic and complex environment and draws on a diverse range of areas. This course gives you the technical, commercial and personal skills which prepare you to start a successful career as a chartered surveyor.
The course includes practical, client-focused property projects. These involve you completing technical and professional tasks and applying creative solutions that draw on your developing knowledge of o property law o economics o planning o land development o investment o valuation and business management.
You benefit from a range of teaching, learning and assessment techniques. Intensive block study weeks allow you to work on complex, professional briefs in teams with an emphasis on the latest thinking from the real estate sector.
You work alongside English students studying the UK version of the course for practical project work but the classroom teaching is separate. We supply key texts and provide a dedicated room for the course.
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredit this course. RICS is an English professional body recognised all over the world for quality and integrity.
Many international surveying firms recognise and value the RICS qualification. They are looking for RICS-qualified property managers with UK experience, who can work in property management, valuation and development around the world.
After completing the course, you may register your experience for the RICS APC training period. This enables you to become a chartered surveyor.
Our department has run RICS-accredited courses for more than 40 years. Many of our professors have written textbooks for surveying students and are active in research and continuing professional development. Our surveying courses also achieved a high score from the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.
