This qualification defines the abilities and knowledge required of a heating system, venting, ac and refrigeration (HVAC/R) trades person within alloy, technology, fabricating and associated businesses. The qualification was specially designed for apprentices in the aforementioned trade. The qualification packaging was created within a premise that competency will probably be developed through a combination of off-the-job learning plans like the ones delivered via a proper apprenticeship. The qualification may also be achieved through formal skills recognition assessment processes.The skills connected with this qualification are designed to use to an extensive range HVAC/R work, for example assembling, installing, maintaining and repairing industrial, commercial and domestic air conditioning and cooling systems and equipment.This qualification is intended to give an industry recognised skills profile related to trade work as a heating and ac trades person. Skills development should be undertaken through an Australian Apprenticeship arrangement at which the combination of online and off-the-job training would be specified from the Training Plan related to the Contract of Training between the employer and apprentice.Assessment of several components of competency must, where suggested, include evidence of the candidate's operation in an operating workplace where there's a sufficient range of appropriate tasks and materials to pay the scope of use of those components. All outcomes must reflect the standard of operation inherent in the job.The Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Legislation Amendment Bill 2003 and the Ozone Protection and Synthetic Gas Management Regulations 1995 apply to this qualification which integrates national Circuit managing licences and experiential trading authorisations.
