The Master of Social Impact (MSI) is designed for high-performing students seeking to create skills and advance their careers in the growing field of social effect. Whether in the philanthropy and not-for-profit business in managerial roles, the personal business incorporate social responsibility, or government in a policy-making capacity, the MSI provides the core capabilities required to lead people efficiently in a fast changing social market and business environment. The base units address social investment and philanthropy, social entrepreneurship and innovation, imagination and design, and business responsibility and responsibility. Graduates also acquire specialist knowledge in assessment and impact dimension, social entrepreneurship, and also high level real-world experience in strategic philanthropy and social enterprise growth.

  • A recognised bachelor degree in Industry and three years of relevant Job experience
  • Or successful completion of the Graduate Certificate of Social Impact or Graduate Diploma of Social Impact
  • Or for Global applicants, successful completion of the Masters Qualifying Program.

    English language requirements - satisfactory conclusion of a few of the following: Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 high level) with overall 70 percent, each of skills 65 percent
  • Minimum IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no single band below 6.0
  • TOEFL iBT (web-based ) minimum score of 79 with a studying band at least 18 and writing band at least 20
  • Pearson (PTE) minimum score of 5-8 (no communicative skills less than 50)
  • Any equal assessment of English language proficiency. Note: A prerequisite for a lot of classes, the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) can currently be done on campus in Hawthorn.
