Provides a professional education within the discipline of social work. The class develops the students' capacity to work within a complex, contested and uncertain social work clinic environment by making their professional competencies. Students research studies in social work theory and training, research, politics, law, policy, and ethics, with special regard to the relevance of this awareness to training in regional, rural and remote settings.This can be an entry eligibility to the social work profession and it has been determined to fulfill with the Australian Social Work Education and Accreditation Standards of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
