Spanish Language, Literature and Culture

This programme is designed to familiarise students with the major achievements and ramifications of the Spanish language and culture through a firm grounding in linguistics, literature and cultural history. They are also supposed to acquire a profound knowledge of the culture, history and political system. Areas of knowledge covered throghout the four-semester programme include the following: the grammatical system of the Spanish languages, peculiar characterisitcs of written and oral communication , the substantial components of Spanis and Spanish-speaking literatures and cultures, current research methods and trends in literature, linguistics and culture that help formulate successful research projects and strategies. A special stress is put on the effort to assist students in developing skills necessary for self-study, life-long learning and self-management. The programme offers specialisation in Spanish literature and civilisation.
