This program produces graduates with a robust understanding of the mechanics and processes inherent individual physical exercise. The focus is determined by using physical activity from the enhancement of individual performance in occupational, educational, game, exercise and leisure preferences. Foundation studies involve physiology, anatomy and psychology accompanied by implemented studies in exercise physiology, sports medicine, functional anatomy, biomechanics, health promotion, sport and training nutrition and sport and exercise psychology.
Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA, NUCAP Accreditation). Students are eligible for ESSA professional membership for conclusion of this award.
- Year 12 or equivalent
- English (Units 3/4,C), general maths (Components 3/4,C), mathematical techniques (Components 3/4,C) or pro maths (Components 3/4,C)
- Recommended: any one of biology, chemistry, physics, health, psychology or physical instruction (Components 3/4,C). Students must also meet prerequisites such as positioning: immunisation
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate
- Suitability to Work with Children Card (Blue Card)
- Australian Federal Police test.
