This plan prepares graduates from other areas to teach subject are as given in secondary school surroundings (Years 7 to 12). Students will tackle a sequence of studies over two years (fulltime ) that may provide a qualification in secondary education with options to obtain experience in research and/or farther practice-based study. It focuses on current issues in secondary schooling and contemporary methods of learning and teaching to young people. Subjects encourage the importance of working together with coworkers, an appreciation of diversity, educated decision making and reflective practice. Students tackle professional studies in education including discipline-specific program and pedagogical studies (methods), general education studies, and professional experience.
The Master of Teaching Practice (Secondary Education) is subject to Certification by the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) for Enrollment purposes.
