This qualification is part of the Steel and Engineering Training Package. It's for folks aiming at employment in the engineering and metal industry in jobs at engineering technician degree carrying out tasks as technology design and quality control/assurance tracking. Students will obtain compulsory competencies in construction and assessing information, interacting with computing technology and selecting engineering materials. Additionally they will gain a selection of optional competencies current or intended employment, such as CAD, drafting, caliber control/assurance, basic liquid electricity, basic mechanical structure, production scheduling, cost estimating and non-destructive analyzing.
