This qualification is part of the Steel and Engineering Training Package. It's for individuals planning at employment in the engineering and metal industry in jobs at engineering tech degree executing tasks as technology design and grade control/assurance tracking. Students will gain compulsory competencies in construction and analysing information, getting together with computing technology and selecting engineering materials. Additionally they will acquire a range of elective competencies current or intended employment, such as CAD, drafting, quality control/assurance, basic liquid electricity, basic mechanical layout, production schedulingand cost estimating and non-destructive testing.
