What will I study?

  • This BA (Hons) Television Production degree combines a hands-on professional approach with academic, critical and theoretical study of the media industry

The students have full access to broadcast-quality equipment including a (100 square metre) 3-camera HD studio, Sony EX3 and Panasonic cameras and SQN Sound Mixers. Editing is done in AVID or Final Cut Pro suites.

This course runs in parallel with the BA (Hons) Digital Media Design and BA (Hons) Scriptwriting for Film and Television courses enabling the TV students to engage with the rapidly changing face of todays digital television industry as it becomes increasingly integrated with the internet. Collaboration with their fellow students forms part of the course as well as being very much encouraged outside it.

The Media School at Bournemouth University is a member of the Bournemouth Creative Skillset Media Academy, the Academy is the largest centre of professional higher education for the film and media industries in the UK, and offers some of the world's finest education and training in the disciplines of practical creative media.

The entry requirements for this course are 300 to 320 tariff points, from 3 A-levels, including 120 points from one specified A-level (determined by our academic and admissions team, from the A-levels you are studying), or equivalent qualifications. BTEC Extended Diploma: DDM.
