Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, students will have the skills and knowledge to:

  1. Discuss the dynamics of contemporary international relations, especially in the Asia-Pacific region;
  2. Discuss the key theories for the analysis of contemporary international relations;
  3. Use international relations theory to reflect upon contemporary problems in areas such as international security, global governance, international political economy or human rights;
  4. Conduct high-level research and writing to undertake self-directed study in international relations;
  5. Analyse new areas of concern in both scholarly and policy-relevant terms;
  6. Communicate their findings in academic and practical contexts, justifying their approach and methods in appropriate.

A Bachelor degree or international equivalent with a 70% average.

All applicants must meet the University's English Language Admission Requirements for Students

Applicants with a Bachelor Degree or Graduate Certificate in a cognate discipline may be eligible for 24 units (one semester) of credit.

Applicants with a Graduate Diploma or Honours in a cognate discipline may be eligible for 48 units (one year) of credit.
