Vinifera's educational programme is designed for a specific audience. The distinct international/European dimension attracts a wide range of high-quality students. These students typically seek the experience of studying in another EU country and developing language skills, and are looking for a higher degree of specialisation. Both objectives are fulfilled by this Master's course, due in particular to the international flavour and excellence of its teaching.

Compulsory Modules:
  • Economics for the Wine Industry
  • Oenology
  • Project Management in Science
  • Vine Biology
  • Vine Ecology and Physiology
  • Viticulture
  • Wine Analysis
  • Wine Processing
  • Languages

The Vinifera EuroMaster is organised by a consortium of universities and graduate schools under the name of "EMaVE Consortium". All participating institutes are renowned for their research activities and their links with professionals in the viticulture and wine sector in major countries producing quality wine in Europe: France, Germany (Hochschule Geisenheim University), Italy, Portugal and Spain.

Study abroad unit(s)

For the second year, or M2, students choose a host country from the Consortium in association with the EMaVE partners. Part of the second year is devoted to the professional or research-oriented preparation of the Master's project. This period may be carried out in another country (also outside of Europe), depending on the relevance to the Master's project.

Internships

If Germany is the second-year partner, an internship of eight weeks is to be completed during the summer break between the second and third semesters. Programme advisers will assist students in finding an appropriate internship.
