Wound Care

The training course is designed to allow students to advance their expertise and skills at the supply of appropriate care of patients with wounds to reevaluate healing. Students will gain the specialist skills necessary to permit the formulation, implementation and evaluation of management plans that are evidence based. Students will also be able to hone their skills in leadership, professional communication, reflective practice and invention in healthcare to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes. Students can choose between a training stream and also a more research focused stream where they may undertake a clinic based research endeavor.

• A Australian Bachelor level (Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level 7 qualification) in pharmacy, podiatry, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy or equivalent
• At least 2 years relevant clinical experience
• And skilled registration.
