FTA provides aviation training solutions for its fixed wing and rotary wing market. It's located at Parafield Airport, South Australia. The school started operations in 1982 and over time has had several owners including Hawker de Havilland and BAE SYSTEMS. Back in 2005, the faculty was purchased by Hong Kong based Young Brothers Aviation (YBA). FTA's training ethos is to create future air-line and Helicopter Captains in the place of training cadets to obtain a license. To do this, FTA has made, and continues to make, considerable investment to ensure suitable aircraft/simulator assets are available and the best staff are in position to deliver it. When it's fixed wing or rotary wing, then FTA caters to the sponsored cadets and self-funded students. A complete range of services are obtainable at FTA ranging from selection, English Language Training, aerial flight grading, ab initio training to CPL, multi-engine CIR, suspended ATPL, multi-crew procedures and flying instructor training.
