Karlshochschule International University –or as we say: The Karls. We are a state-accredited university of applied sciences with approx. 650 students, 10professors and a network of lecturers from various industries and disciplines. As such, we see ourselves as an international and intercultural hub for collaboration and experience. With our interactive and (co-)creative approach to teaching and learning, we not only offer profound professional university education but also really focus on the critical thinking and the personal development of our students. Because only those who incorporate and embody responsibility in their management and in society, those who live it, can really make a difference. Language Requirements

For English, the B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) corresponds to an IELTS result of 6.0 points or above or an internet-based TOEFL score of at least 80 points. A C1 level corresponds to an IELTS result of 6.5 points or above or an internet-based TOEFL score of at least 100 points.

Accreditation from the Wissenschaftsrat (Council of Science and Humanities)

Karlshochschule has had statutory accreditation from the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts in Baden-Württemberg since 2005.

As part of the accreditation process, the Council of Science and Humanities assessed teaching and research at Karlshochschule. The result: "In view of the overall very good development, which Karlshochschule has undertaken since the initial accreditation, and the great willingness it has shown during this to implement the suggestions made by the Wissenschaftsrat, the Wissenschaftsrat has declared an extension of the accreditation to ten years."

In its accreditation statement, the Council also emphasised how Karlshochschule had convincingly achieved its main goal, namely, by means of practice-oriented instruction and training, to enable its students to independently apply scientific insights and methods in their professional lives.

By granting its institutional accreditation, the Wissenschaftsrat ascertained that this non-state University can reach a level of teaching and research that matches recognized academic standards. In this way, both academic effectiveness and the functionality of internal quality control systems are ensured.

The council also advises the federal and state governments on issues of specialist and structural development of higher education institutes, academia and research. Its members included academics, representatives of public life, and delegates from the federal and state governments.
