The Official Master's Degree in Spanish Language, Hispanic Literature and Spanish as a Foreign Language presents a wide-reaching view of the latest areas of study within these fields. The Official Master's Degree in Spanish Language, Hispanic Literature and Spanish as a Foreign Language contents allow advanced studies in the Spanish language, with regard to both the linguistic system and the parameters of linguistic variation. It also offers a theoretical and practical analysis of Spanish and Hispano-American literary texts and traces the evolution of literary genres. It presents the classical work methodologies in literature (text commentary, criticism and literary history) and also the most recent ones (reception theory, intertextuality or sociology of literature).

Teaching timetable
Onsite classes for UAB official masters degrees usually take place in the afternoons, from 15.00 onwards, Monday to Friday. Depending on the semester, there may be classes every day or only some days of the week. As far as possible they are scheduled on two or three days a week
Master description
Of the master's degree's 60 credits, 30 are compulsory and 30 are optional, distributed as follows:
* One module of 15 compulsory credits dealing with basic content of the programme.
* One module of 15 compulsory credits corresponding to the master's dissertation.
* Nine optional modules of 6 credits each, of which students take 5 in order to obtain all 30 optional credits.
