The mission of the MAcc program is to prepare students to be successful accounting, tax, or finance professionals in a dynamic, global business environment. To achieve this mission, the Carlson MAcc enables each student to acquire the comprehensive accounting, finance, taxation, and business skills he or she needs by providing 60 percent of its courses as electives.

The Master of Accountancy program provides the essential skills and knowledge you need to advance your accounting career in today's demanding business environment. The Accounting department provides graduate assistantships, scholarships and an accounting tutor position for MAcc students. Graduate assistantships and the accounting tutor position are awarded on a competitive basis each fall semester. The assistantships and tutor position include a salary and tuition reduction. A limited number of MAcc scholarships are awarded each fall semester. In addition, the Accounting department awards a number of $6,000 forgivable Parker Loans to eligible domestic MAcc students.
