Tilburg University's Master's program in Accounting offers you an unbeatable start to an international career as a financial specialist and a strong foundation for a future general management position.

Gain an in-depth, scientific and practically-relevant understanding of financial and management accounting and other related subjects, including corporate financial reporting and auditing during this comprehensive graduate program. A flexible format allows you to develop specialized expertise by following one of the different knowledge tracks.

A Tilburg University's Master's program in Accounting offers you:

The program consists of 60 Credits (ECTS), equivalent to 1680 hours of study, offered over two semesters. The two semesters are divided into two blocks each. One semester starts in August, with exams in December and January. The other semester runs from January to June. Your program depends on when you'll start with your Master's program: at the end of August or at the end of January. Courses are offered once a year, this means that when you start with the program in August you will follow other courses first than when you start in January.

Tracks

Professional track

The professional track (RA/RC) focuses on the set-up and control of external financial reporting with additional core subjects in management accounting, auditing and accounting information systems. You can choose between either financial reporting or management accounting within the program's elective. The Professional Track offers excellent preparation for a range of careers including auditing, tax consulting, management consulting, or as a controller in a company. It is also a stepping stone to the Post-Master Accountancy (Registeraccountant RA) - in Dutch; the European Post-Master Accountancy (Registeraccountant RA) starting in May 2014 or the Post-Master's program Executive Master of Finance and Control ( Registercontroller RC) in Dutch.

CFA track

CFA Track The CFA Track offers students interested in both accounting and finance the opportunity to acquire the prestigious CFA® qualification (Chartered Financial Analysts Institute). During this track you follow core accounting courses supplemented by finance electives such as investment analysis, and can expect to be adequately prepared to sit the CFA exams upon completion of the program. Subsequent career paths include that of financial analyst and investment banker. Some knowledge of finance (e.g. courses finance 1 and finance 2 or the equivalent in premaster) is required.

In order to have access to the Master's programme in Accounting, you need a solid basis in the following areas:Mathematics and Statistics (18 ECTS) Academic Training (24 ECTS) Economics (12 ECTS) Management or Marketing (12 ECTS) Finance (12 ECTS) Accounting (24 ECTS) If you meet these requirements, you have a good chance of being accepted to the Master's programme in Accounting. If you have a university Bachelor's degree, but do not meet the requirements mentioned above, Tilburg University offers you the opportunity to enter into the Master's programme in Accounting via a special premaster programme.Other entry requirements include English language proficiency (IELTS or TOEFL) and GMAT test score. The average GMAT score of admitted students is 600.
