Agricultural Science offers the research, technology and information for the sustainable, ethical and profitable development of the agricultural business. Research workers in agriculture include soil science, genetics, plant breeding, animal research, cropping and farming systems, crop production, soil-plant interactions, human and plant nutrition, integrated pest management, livestock production, animal reproduction, scientific modelling, agricultural economics and agribusiness, data management and science communicating (peer-to-peer) and additional issues. UWA is well equipped for research and teaching into agricultural science, with an area station at Shenton Park and the University research farm near Pingelly, which aims to be self supporting, sustainable, renewable neutral, blank, ethical and green - that a best practice farm. Teaching in agricultural science is also supported by the outstanding research and outreach activities of this Institute of Agriculture, the Centre for Plant Genetics and Breeding (PGB), and also the Australian Herbicide Resistance Initiative (AHRI).
A relevant bachelor's degree, which contrasts with one of their specialisations of this program, or an equivalent qualifications, as recognized by UWA. English language requirements apply.
