This double level is unique in that it equips pupils with the knowledge and skills to engage with contemporary business environments, and particularly executive careers in finance, banking and investment sectors. It offers students with the possibility to obtain technical knowledge necessary to work in an evolving and more complicated fiscal environment with a focus on the technical application of these techniques. The design of this level reflects appointment with a range of stakeholders including industry and professional institutions; the applied finance components have been manufactured by those that are actively associated with the financial sector. The design comprises business foundation and core units that provide students with key skills such as business communicating and analysis, as well as a general understanding of the basics of business e.g., Accounting, Economics, and Statistics.
The Master of Business Administration/Master of Applied Finance fulfils the educational requirements for Entry as a Senior Associate (SA Fin) of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (Finsia). Senior Partner membership with Finsia also necessitates at the least five years career experience from the financial services industry. The Master of Business Administration/Master of Applied Finance also satisfies the education requirements for professional registration of the Finance and Treasury Association (FTA).
