This dual level increases livelihood options across business and communication areas. The company component gives students a powerful theoretical and practical underpinning from the key areas, functions, principles and methods of industry over domestic and international business environments with thickness and specialisation in a couple of business areas. The communication component enables students for professional roles in the rapidly evolving communication industries. Students gain exposure to a broad array of communication literacies and also local and international communication platforms through on-campus learning, international study experiences and participation with world-leading research. Students will understand the significance of cultural diversity, for example Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander viewpoints, in domestic and globalised communications environments. The curriculum is responsive to industry requirements and students have the chance to create expert expertise by applying their knowledge and skills in authentic industry settings.
