This course provides students with in-demand design abilities and highly desired small business acumen to operate in diverse worldwide contexts. The business component gives students a strong theoretical and technical underpinning in the critical areas, roles, principles and techniques of business across domestic and international small business environments with depth and specialisation in one or more business areas. The design program embraces current industry trends, with a solid focus on Human centred design. Studio experiences provide heightened design opportunities for industry/consumer-informed bespoke (hyper-tailored) systems, products and/or services. Students will learn to be adaptable and resilient; and to produce, think critically, and efficiently communicate and socialize in diverse contexts. They'll develop visualisation skills, effective usage of discipline relevant technology and develop important career selfmanagement abilities. Work integrated learning and international exchanges provide opportunities to network and get firsthand industry expertise.
