This Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business is purely for International Students. Our programme is designed so that you can join the HND programme at various times throughout the year.

Our course, features innovative roll-on, roll-off modules that you can join any month of the year. You wont be constrained to traditional September start dates.

When you join the course youll be given a FREE laptop that is WiFi enabled. Well give you the latest Microsoft Office package too so there are no hidden extras needed.

Youll also get one core text book for every module that you study. These are your texts to keep. You could choose to sell them or donate them to our University Centre Library when you successfully complete your course.

Course Content

Giving you a greater insight into business fundamentals, this HND course is a major workplace qualification which includes a broad range of highly relevant business and management subject areas, making it ideal for those who have started, or are planning to move into a career in private or public sector business. You will study 16 modules in total throughout your time at University Centre at Blackburn College.

This well-established national qualification is at an intermediate level and places academic theory and learning within a practical vocational context. Youll look at the role of marketing and what it takes to make your products sell profitably, as well as overall strategy and the environments that affect how we conduct business with both companies and individuals. Youll also study the role of organisational behaviour in business and the role of HR and much, much more including Finance, Ethics and Project Management.

You will be encouraged to broaden your personal understanding of business and develop valuable transferable skills to really enhance your employment prospects.

The order that you study the modules in will vary depending on when you join the course.

How will I be assessed?

During the course youll be assessed by a variety of methods these assessments can take the form of group or individual presentations as well as individual coursework assignments throughout the course. There is an assessment week after you have completed each module this is when you will complete your individual assignments putting into practice the knowledge and skills you have learnt during the taught sessions of the module.

Youll need to demonstrate your ability to study at an intermediate undergraduate level. You might have the international equivalent of a BTEC National Diploma or A Levels, as well as international equivalents of GCSEs. You will need to have an IELTs score of 5.5 in order to join the programme.
