The Bachelor of Business is designed to equip students with core knowledge and skills of business, management and operations to organize them for functions in modern organisations. Students select a major field of specialisation that's combined together with different studies to show them how to be entrepreneurial leaders within their career. The class joins technical and technical knowledge required to use effectively in diverse settings such as not-for-profits, government, small business and corporations. Students participate in professionally focused, multi disciplinary projects in their last year of study.

Applicants Using an Accounting or Accounting and Finance Major may be eligible to apply for membership of CPA Australia (CPAA), Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).

  • Year 12 or equivalent
  • VCE prerequisites: Units 3 and 4: the absolute minimum study score of 25 in English (or equivalent) or 30 in English (EAL). Completion or partial completion of an approved tertiary qualification (including Certificates I V (completed), Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, Associate Degrees and Degrees). Applicants without an official qualification could be required for entry if they possess significant and appropriate job experience or upon finishing the STAT test. Supplemental performance criteria and requirement requirements can also apply. English language requirements - satisfactory completion of one of these following: Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 higher level level) with overall 65 percent, all of skills 65%
  • Minimum IELTS overall band of 6.0 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0
  • TOEFL iBT (internet-based) minimum score of 75 with a reading band no less than 18 and writing band no less than 20
  • Pearson (PTE) minimum score of 50 (no real skills less than 50)
  • every equal assessment of English language proficiency. Notice: A prerequisite for several classes, the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) can currently be done on campus in Hawthorn.
