The Bachelor of Business is intended to equip students with core knowledge and skills in business, operations and management to organize them for functions in modern businesses. Students select a major area of specialisation that's combined together with different studies to show them how to be entrepreneurial thinkers in their future career. The class links technical and technical knowledge needed to operate efficiently in configurations such as not for profits, government, small business and corporations. Students participate in professionally focused, multidisciplinary projects during their final year of analysis.

Candidates with an Accounting Major, Accounting and Finance Major, or Accounting and Financial Planning Major Might Be eligible to apply for membership of CPA Australia (Certified Practising Accountant), Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). Additionally, students undertaking a major in Financial Planning or Accounting and Financial Planning might be eligible to apply for registration of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA).

  • Year 12 or equivalent
  • VCE prerequisites: Units 3 and 4: a minimum study score of 25 in English (or equivalent) or 30 in English (EAL). Further performance criteria and prerequisite requirements may also apply. English language requirements - satisfactory conclusion of a few of the following: Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 high degree ) with overall 65%, all skills 65%
  • Minimum IELTS overall band of 6.0 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0
  • TOEFL iBT (internet-based) minimum score of 75 with a reading ring no less than 18 and writing ring no less than 20
  • Pearson (PTE) minimum score of 50 (no real skills less than 50)
  • Any other equivalent examination of English language competence.
