Chemistry

In Chemistry, you will discover the properties of inorganic and organic matter and the ways that atoms interact. You will study kinetic theory, quantum mechanics, biogeochemistry, and more. The Chemistry major provides you with a broad background in science with a concentration in chemistry, which can lead to work in industrial or government laboratories. You may also complete a Chemical Engineering-Chemistry Honours degree. The combined Honours degree is tailored for those with an interest in science that includes more than one of the traditional areas. This program might lead to work in creating new industrial polymers, controlling enzyme action in a food production process, harnessing light, or solving environmental issues.
