The Master of Medical Exercise Physiology allow one to upgrade your undergraduate science credentials so you can utilize people who have disease and injury in the broader community. Clinical exercise physiology is an area of allied health that is specially worried about using exercise to restore decent health and fitness and physical power to people after illness or injury or to improve the standard of life and manage physical functioning in people with chronic disease and physical disabilities. This degree consists of high level clinical training for work as an exercise physiologist. As part of this program, you can tackle 360 hrs of clinical work experience. This will make certain you will end up work-ready for industry training in both public and private facilities with a clinical attention.
This training course is licensed by Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA). Graduates of the Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology are qualified to apply for certification as Exercise Physiologists with ESSA.
A recognised Bachelor degree in exercise science of at least three years' duration, or possess ESSA approved Graduate Entry status. Applicants should have acquired no less than 140 hours of supervised clinical placement with healthy populations. Entry of a Supplementary Information form, together with three referee reports and a personal statement, can be required.
