Desirable requirements are tertiary-level subjects in biomechanics, clinical analysis, psychology, pathology, materials technology, evidence-based practice, research techniques or statistics, and human movement. Students without a background in prosthetics and orthotics fabrication skills will likely be asked to complete the bridging course in P&O Fabrication skills and occupational health and safety. The fee for the course is $900 (2013 commission, subject to change). NB: Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee that an offer of a place. Entrance into all of La Trobe courses is based on competitive selection and there may be limited places available.
