Communication Studies

This track is part of the Master's degree programme in Communication and Information Science. The proliferation and development of technology has created an abundance of possibilities for communication. Therefore, it makes sense to analyse the different sort of communication processes. In the Mater's track in Communication Studies, the focus is on language, language use and communication through diverse media. Communication Studies investigates the communication processes and products from a discourse-perspective. This means that interaction is central to this approach. In this track, you will study discourse-analyses in the area of organizational, media and computer communication. During the Master's degree, there is a lot of attention for analytical, problem solving and research skills. In addition, the programme has a strong interdisciplinary element: rather than just exploring communication studies, you will learn about language proficiency and information studies as well. It is possible to do an internship as part of your studyprogramme.

1. vooropleiding (ISPAC: vereiste vooropleiding) Buiten bovengenoemde BA-opleidingen kunnen ook studenten met een WO-diploma van een andere letterenopleiding na overleg en na toestemming van de Toelatingscommissie toegelaten worden. Het is mogelijk om tijdens je bachelor al te starten met pre-master vakken.
