This Masters programme gives you the opportunity to study the theoretical and practical dimensions of community learning and development (CLD). It will equip you with the skills and knowledge to work alongside people in communities to effect sustainable social change.

* PgDip9 months full-time; 18 months part-time
Career prospects
Graduates of this programme will have many employment opportunities open to them in the areas of community development work, youth work, health, housing and social and economic regeneration. As an accredited Community Learning and Development (CLD) Standards Council for Scotland qualification, graduates will have the opportunity to work for Local Authorities, the Voluntary Sector and Further and Higher Education institutions as well as many other interesting areas.

The practice placement gives you an opportunity to apply the theories and values you have learned and demonstrate your competence as a practitioner in a community learning development setting. You will plan, implement and evaluate practice and analyse it with regard to the theoretical aspects of the programme.
