Education - Primary (Online)

This course develops an understanding of instruction, forcing students to become teachers who utilise the latest technology and instruction methods to engage kids across a range of subject disciplines. Through collaborative group activities and school established practical peer students develop the skills to create engaging and effective learning experiences. Students are educated to detect and address diversity; tailoring the learning experience to the needs of their learners.

This course meets the academic requirements summarized by the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT). VIT recognition enables graduates to register as a teacher Australia-wide. On completion of an Education degree, all Teachers must register with the appropriate teacher body. Any criminal offence or event need to be announced as part of this registration process. Year 12 or equivalent: VCE prerequisites: Units 3 and 4: the absolute minimum study score of 25 in English (or equivalent) or 30 in English (EAL). All candidates should maintain a present Dealing with Children Check and also a current Police Check throughout the Term of the program.
