Course Content

The freshman year builds a foundation in mathematics, physics, and computing, and provides an introduction to EE. Students advance their mathematical and computing skills and start working on the foundations of EE, including the basics of electrical circuits, signals, systems, digital design, electromagnetics, and the related lab work in the sophomore year. At the end of the sophomore year, OzU EE students will be able to work in all sectors of their field as support personnel, or help faculty in their research projects as summer interns. Additionally, students gain early business awareness through entrepreneurship and sectors-related courses covered in the first two years. In the junior year curriculum, compulsory courses on electronics and signal processing are provided. Electives covering a wide range of topics, from microprocessors, computer and communications networks to digital and wireless communications, will be available to match individual interests or to create a path toward specialization. The junior year program covers additional business topics and in-depth communications courses to develop students´ ability to effectively present, write, and speak in English. By the completion of their junior year, OzU students will be as effective as entry level engineers, and they will have no difficulty in finding the most suitable positions for their second summer internships. The senior year curriculum is mostly allocated to elective advanced EE coursework to prepare students for the challenges in the field. Also, seniors are expected to conceive and develop an engineering project which may lead to forming a high-tech start-up company.
