This course qualifies individuals who apply a body of knowledge in a variety of contexts to tackle expert work and gives a pathway for further learning in technology. Students with a bachelor's degree in a non-engineering subject, that are professionals in fields related to technology and also are enthusiastic about pursuing engineering at postgraduate level, can apply to the course. All applications are analyzed individually and the class structure is personalized on the basis of the basic credentials which students possess.
- UTS recognised bachelor level, or equivalent or higher qualification, or filed additional evidence of general and professional qualifications which demonstrates possibility to pursue graduate studies. Students also have to have a prior qualification in an engineering field, and are required to specify on the application what new or varied area of technologies they wish to pursue. Candidates with no diploma, but that possess a TAFE diploma or equivalent in engineering with significant related work experience, may also apply with this course. The English proficiency requirement of global students or regional applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0
