This course offers students hands-on practical training work through practice-based learning approach and also the compulsory industry internship program that might lead into job. It's taught by lecturers with relevant industry experience and a few still in industry. It's going to equip students to organize, design, execute and manage telecom infrastructure and technology. The course explores the latest wired and wireless system technologies and broadband wireless networks. This implies students will learn about these state-of-the-art technologies and their implementation and direction in an applied setting. Moreover, electives in IT, security and information systems will make students a work-ready graduate with solid technical expertise and ready to employ these skills on the job. It's an excellent base also for future technologies such as robotics, mechatronicsand homeautomation, Internet of things and mobile programs.

The Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Telecommunications) is accredited by Both the Tertiary Educational Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA). Additionally, it has standardised certification at the level of Engineering Technologist by Engineering Australia (EA)

  • Year 12 or equivalent
  • Completion of units 3 and 4 with a study score of at least 20 in English (any) and one of further mathematics, mathematical methods or specialist mathematics
