Enterprise Information Systems

The BSc (Hons) in Enterprise Information Systems focuses on applying computing technologies and enterprise information to develop and manage business solutions.

The programme emphasises on e-business and information systems strategies, their applications, as well as design and development skills.

The representative subjects include:

• Business and Information Systems Strategies
• Software Project Management
• IT Entrepreneurship
• Information Systems Audit and Control
• Business Intelligence and Customer Relationship Management
• Computational Finance

Graduates are equipped to become management executives, business analysts, system developers, project managers and information system managers.

All students are admitted to the Broad Discipline of Computing. In the first year, they take a common set of subjects to lay a foundation for university study and gain a taste of the broad discipline. In the second year, they can select the individual awards and study the corresponding content. All three awards feature the minor option and an individual or a group integrative capstone project in the final year.

• Year One: fundamental knowledge, laying the foundation for university study and gaining a taste of the broad discipline.
• Year Two: basic computing and IT concepts, underlying technologies, business, accounting and management concepts.
• Year Three: a broadening year featuring various aspects of computing skills and knowledge of enterprise information systems.
• Final Year: specialisation in areas such as Information System Management, Audit & Control, Decision Support, Knowledge & Project Management, Business Process Management, Logistics and Workflow.

Requirements

• Application fee HK$450
• GCE A-level / International A-level
• International Baccalaureate (IB)
• A minimum score of 24 with at least grade 4 in 2 Higher Level subjects
• A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 80 for the Internet-based test or 550 for the paper-based test;
  OR
• An overall Band Score of 6 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
