This rigorous, practical program features a comprehensive study of integrated corporate risk measurement and management processes and principles. You’ll leave the program better able to assess and respond to changes in the risk environment and with the confidence to develop effective solutions to meet the needs of any industry.

The Master of Finance prepares students for careers in the rapidly changing finance industry, with an emphasis on quantitative analysis and real-world application. The curriculum covers the principles, processes, and practices of investment analysis, portfolio management, corporate finance, and financial risk management, with hands-on application of course concepts to analysis of current financial data.

  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year institution in any field with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • Completed undergraduate course work, or equivalent, in Business Finance, Probability and Statistics, and Calculus I
  • Prior work or academic experience with computer programming
  • Satisfactory scores in GMAT or GRE2
  • International applicants: Internet-based3 TOEFL score of 86 or higher, or an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher, or a PTE score of 58 or higher
  • Statement of purpose
  • Current résumé
  • Three professional recommendations

1. While we encourage our students to meet the minimum criteria, failure to meet one may be offset by strengths in other areas, as determined by the Graduate Program Committee.

2. A GMAT score of 620 or cumulative GRE score of 315 is preferred. Scores in the quantitative sections are especially significant. The test must have been taken within the past five years. If you take the GMAT or GRE more than once, only the top score is taken into consideration.
