This introductory graduate certificate lays the foundation for additional study in clinical genetics and genomics and is acceptable for students with no, or limited, prior genetics training. You may complete the certificate having the capability to identify future learning needs as a way to maintain an expert working knowledge in genomics. Nested over the two-year Master of Genomics and Health, it gives an introduction to the current and potential effect on health and medicine created by progress in genomics and similar technologies. The application adopts a blended learning process, applying both self-paced internet learning, and also face to face tutorials and workshops which permits you to apply your knowledge at an problem-based learning atmosphere. The Program is led by education and research leaders inside the Melbourne Children's Campus, incorporating expertise from the Royal Children's Hospital, the Murdoch Children's Institute for Research and the University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics.
